Plan the perfect holiday
Anse Gaulettes is sited a little further down the East coast from Patates, and is an attractive stretch of sand with attractive views across to the islands of Felicité and Marianne. The sea here is often too rough to swim, and the currents can be dangerous. You may want to wear reef shoes if you want to venture into the water, as there are rocks and sharp coral in the sand off the beach.
Further south over a large hill from Anse Gaulettes, It's not hard to guess how Anse Grosse Roche got its name, with one massive smooth rock to the north side of the beach. Sharing the same views of the islands as Anse Gaulettes, it's also a nice place to stop and take a walk but perhaps not the best place for a swim. If you're thirsty from the cycle there's a small shop behind the beach.
