The Banyan Tree Seychelles is a resort that has 60 Creole-style villas on the south-western coast of Mahe island. The resort is on the beach and surrounded by tropical gardens. The villas are on the hillside in beautiful gardens with views of the sea or on the beachfront. Each has a private pool. There is also large accommodation on a private cove with two bedrooms and a pool.
The resort offers a gorgeous botanical garden with local and exotic plants for leisurely strolls as well as a tennis court, fully equipped gym and an infinity pool right on the beach with a bar. Off-resort, guests can visit Victoria's Selwyn Clark Market, which has excellent shopping and many local attractions. Pristine islands are nearby for a secluded afternoon picnic.
The spa facility is outdoors and offers several different Asian and Western massages as well as signature packages from the Banyan Tree Spa specialists. The therapists are formally trained at Banyan Tree Spa Academics in Indonesia, Thailand or china, so guests receive a truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience.
Destination Dining is offered in four romantic and secluded locations. Under the stars, on the cliffs overlooking the sea, in a Moonlight Gazebo and on the beach are the unique dining destinations in the resort. The main restaurant offers international cuisine and there is also an award-winning Thai restaurant in the resort. All items including Creole and local cuisine are served in-villa and on the beach. There is also a pool bar overlooking the beach.
Guests enjoy diving and snorkelling as well as mountain biking, canoeing and visiting other islands. There are tours available to the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Vallee de Mai. A world leader in sustainable tourism, visitors see the natural environment intact. There is huge biodiversity including the Seychelles Black Parrot, the jellyfish tree and giant tortoises.
