The Colibri Guest House is on Pointe Cabris, Praslin. Each cabin is made from wood and stone and has a beautiful view of the ocean. The hotel has five superior rooms and six standard rooms with terraces or balconies. It is a family owned hotel and each guest is given a warm welcome.
All the rooms are spacious and have excellent amenities and facilities. There is coffee and tea making facilities, internet access, TV and air conditioner. Cots are available for children and there are facilities for laundry.
The restaurant is just on the edge of the sea and has a French Master Chef who oversees the excellent Creole and international cuisine. Breakfast is included in the rates.
It has a small swimming pool with a separate pool for children. There is no beach by the guesthouse, but it is near several good beaches. There is swimming, snorkelling, fishing and sunbathing from the wooden pontoon boat ride to Anse la Farine.
Visitors enjoy taking excursions on Praslin to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Vallee de Mai. It is an ancient forest famous for the coco de mer and vanilla orchids. There are many plant and animal species that are rare and only found in the Seychelles.
The guesthouse is near the Jetty, so it is easy to get a catamaran to Mahe Island or La Digue Island. La Digue is famous for its relaxed lifestyle with very few motor vehicles. Visitors and locals both take oxcarts and bicycles for transportation. Children love playing on the shore and in the mountains rather than focus on TV and shopping.
The staff at the guesthouse can arrange diving and other water sports for guests and there are many excellent restaurants nearby. The Colibri Guest House is a home away from home for visitors to enjoy the activities and sights of the Seychelles.
