Nestled into the northeast coast of Praslin, Cote d'Or Footprints Chalets sits on picture-perfect Cote d'Or Beach. The resort has 10 individual chalets in a garden setting, and the chalets are designed to house either two or four guests. The entire facility is newly built, and the chalets are Creole in style—with dark wood furniture and traditional decorations. The bedrooms have gorgeous photos of the Seychelles on the walls, adding to the overall relaxed atmosphere, and the bathrooms all have natural-stone tiles. Each chalet also has a small terrace and a fully-equipped kitchen, and there is a pool for lounging by if you want to get away from the beach.
Cote d'Or Footprints is self-catered, so you're in charge of your own lunch and dinner. The resort provides an awesome breakfast, though—usually fresh local fruit, croissants or toast, yogurt, and fresh juice. The well-appointed kitchen in each chalet is perfect for whipping up a meal of fresh fish or other island delights, and upon arrival you get a "starter package†of milk, tea, coffee, fruit, and cookies to snack on until you've picked up groceries from one of the nearby shops.
If you don't have the urge to cook, there are plenty of restaurants in the area, and the resort staff are happy to make recommendations. If you can, be sure to sample some of the local Creole cuisine during your trip, as it is extremely delicious. Between exotic local food, sunsets on stunning Cote d'Or Beach, and one of the nicest places around to stay, you've got the ingredients for an unforgettable vacation at Cote d'Or Footprints Chalets.
