Just a short walk from gorgeous Anse Forbans beach on the southern side of Mahe, Demeure de Cap Macon Hotel is a welcoming oasis of comfort and simplicity. The hotel has five suites in two lovely villas, one inspired by traditional Creole design and the other in neo-colonial style. Each room has air conditioning, a kitchenette, a private bath, and a veranda or balcony. Room features and style vary, and they include four-poster beds, exposed-rock walls, and vaulted ceilings.
The hotel is in a secluded area in the south of Mahe, and renting a car is a good idea if you want to travel around the island or visit any other resorts. The food at the hotel is superb, but if you're planning to use your kitchenette to cook meals, be forewarned that there are few stores nearby to buy groceries. Stock up on provisions in Takamaka on your way to the hotel. If you don't feel like cooking, you can look forward to enjoying meals prepared by the hotel's co-owner, Mary Anna. She's an excellent chef, and sharing her food with other guests of the hotel could well be one of the highlights of your stay here.
Demeure de Cap Macon has an intimate and elegant atmosphere without a lot of distractions. There isn't a pool and there are no special children's activities. Serenity and relaxation rule the day at this hotel, and if that's what you're looking for in your vacation, you couldn't do better than here.
