Le Meridien Fisherman's Cove is on the western end of Beau Vallon Bay surrounded by lush tropical gardens. The resort is built with the local granite and thatched roofs with an open air lobby for spectacular views of the Indian Ocean. The rooms and suites are modern and stylish and are on the hillside for the view as well as on the beach.
The hotel has two restaurants for indoor and al fresco dining. The menu is international with excellent local dishes added. Both dining areas have beautiful views of the ocean. There are two bars. One bar has live music and offers snacks and pool service during the day. The other bar is right on the sea in an extended pontoon and gazebo. Complimentary afternoon tea and coffee are served there along with homemade pastries. Cocktails are served pre-dinner and late at night.
The Zen Spa offers beauty and health treatments including several styles of massage. The facility is outdoors by the beach, but treatments can be given in the guest's room. There is a fully equipped fitness centre, a steam room and plunge pool which are complimentary for guests.
Fishing is a favourite activity and guests regularly catch sailfish, wahoo, tuna, rainbow runner and marlin. There is also night fishing for barracuda and shark.
Diving is another popular activity because the Seychelles has the most beautiful reefs and fish in the world. There is also a world famous wreck and the Brissare rocks that are nearby. Divers swim with green turtles and see the dramatic terraced walls. Beginners are welcome and can have lessons, and experienced divers can become certified divers.
The hotel offers several fascinating nature walks around the island including an easy walk in the Vallee de Mai. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site and considered a prehistoric forest with many rare animals and plants.
