With booming wildlife, stretches of white sand beaches, stunning landscapes, friendly locals, and the blue waters of the Indian Ocean, the Seychelles is the ultimate destination for you if you want to escape to a small, exclusive, and private paradise. For those looking for the ultimate experience, complete with privacy, seclusion and high levels of service, the Seychelles offers luxury private pool villas where you can enjoy the most exclusive of amenities and services.

For the perfect getaway, here are the top five luxury pool villas the islands have to offer.

1. Four Seasons Resort, Mahe

This secluded heaven on earth sits on a white sand beach in the southwest part of Mahe, overlooking Petite Anse Bay. It is surrounded by mountains that provide a wonderful and natural backdrop and atmosphere.

The Resort

The Four Seasons Resort beams with luxury on account of its wooden floors, well-crafted and coloured windows, woven ceilings, and high-class decorative sculptures that resemble Noguchi art. The interior spaces are large and feature some open-air common places while the exterior mirrors the elegance of Seychelles’ environment perfectly. Restaurants, bars, gym, spa, and the beach are just but a few of the facilities that the resort has to offer.

The Pool Villas

The luxurious villas are individually air conditioned and have private infinity plunge pools. While some are located closer to the beach, others are farther away in the hills and will require you to walk a slight distance. Despite the small trek, they offer seclusion and are very intimate.

Services and Facilities in the Villas

The one, two, and three bedroom villas stand out because they have luxury private pools. They are also furnished with walk-in closets, beachside or hillside views, tree top sunbathing decks, outdoor showers, and entertainment systems including TVs and DVD players. The hotel can even provide child-sized bathrobes to your villa at your request. No task it too small or out of question for this resort.

2. Raffles Praslin

Location: Anse Takamaka, Praslin Island

The Raffles Resort is conveniently located in Praslin Island where the world-famous Anse Lazio beach is. This area offers unparalleled views of the Indian Ocean, arguably the best of any the islands.

The Resort

The resort itself incorporates the slightly slanting shape of the landscape. The blend between the resort’s architecture and the surrounding is such a draw that some guest book villas soley for the view. The lush environment is primarily natural, unpolluted and accounts for the laid back and relaxed vibe of the resort.

The Pool Villas

The smallest villas at Raffles Resort measure 125 meters square – that is a huge room by any standard. But the real standout is the Panoramic Pool Villa. Located at the very top of the resort, the villa offers unobstructed views of Seychelles’ lush greenery and the Indian Ocean. The villa’s private plunge pool is located outdoors and surrounded by a covered pavilion, sundeck chairs, and an open-air balcony.  Almost like having a tiny island all to yourself.

Services and Facilities in the Villas

The private pool villas are not only elegantly designed but also come with a working desk, electronic safe, coffee and tea makers, walk-in closet, and a yoga mat. The super spacious bathrooms have bathrobes and a bathtub with a scenic view of the outdoors. If you wish, you can order in-villa services like babysitting, dining, and spa treatments to enhance your stay. This is certainly the villa to book if you want to enjoy the royal treatment while on a Seychelles holiday.

3. Beachcomber St Anne Island Resort

The Sainte Anne Resort is located south of the Sainte Anne Island, a 10-minute boat ride from Victoria, Seychelles’ capital city. The location is part of the Sainte Anne Marine National Park that is popular among divers and snorkelers, but if you don’t enjoy any of those you might like bird and tortoise watching, both of which are popular leisure activities on the island.

The Resort

The resort sits on a 543-acre private island that is well suited for private getaways. It has three beaches, numerous restaurants, spas, shops, water sports, lagoon-style pools, and offers fun activities for families and lovers. In short, it is an all-inclusive hotel that offers vacationers a chance to enjoy the best that Seychelles has.

The Pool Villas

There are 87 villas at the Sainte Anne Resort, each of which contains outdoor showers, plush beds, and private terraces. While all the villas are great, the 29 large Pool Villas (220 square meters) are exceptional, to say the least. They are located along winding pathways that make your journey ‘home’ an interesting one. Their indoors are furnished with exquisite tropical décor, vaulted ceilings, tile floors, rattan furniture, and mahogany doors. Each one offers direct access to the beach.

Services and Facilities in the Pool Villa

The resort’s pool villas are not just about private pools and panoramic views; they also come with added benefits in the form of services and facilities like the resort’s special diets, cleaning services, babysitting services, and in-villa dining. You also have access to the spa, library, bar, restaurant, games room, entertainment facilities, and a fitness centre.

4. Constance Ephelia, Mahe Island

This resort is about a 40 minutes’ drive away from Seychelles’ main airport and occupies a huge portion of Port Launay. Its northern side lays on a calm, beautiful beach that is filled with surreal grey stones. The southern end of the resort also meets the Lans Ilet beach where hotel visitors can go to relax in the shallow waters that stretch far into the Indian Ocean. The pathway linking the two ends of the hotel passes through a breath-taking mangrove forest of natural and pristine beauty.

The Resort

With 313 villas and rooms, the Constance Ephelia is the largest hotel in the Seychelles. It stands majestically on Mahe Island with its grey pillars in the surrounding lush greenery. The resort has several swimming pools strategically located between villas for the sake of those who don’t feel like venturing to the beach.

The Pool Villas

The most modest of all rooms in the Constance Ephelia are arguably two times bigger than what you would find in an average hotel. The standout highlight of the hotel’s accommodation is its pool villas which have multiple rooms (as many as seven). Private pools are located in tropical gardens and are surrounded by fully furnished balconies and terraces. Inside the villas are seating areas, TVs, coffee/tea machines, minibars, wine coolers, and super sleek bathrooms. They are decorated in a safari style décor that consists of wooden ornaments, leopard, and zebra prints.

Services and Facilities in the Villas

If you book a pool villa at the Constance Ephelia, you will get either a hillside or beachside view; both of which offer amazing views throughout the year. You will also get access to the resort’s private beaches, restaurants, bar, and spa. You can order room service and get your laundry done at request. There is also a kids’ club for 4 to 11-year-olds, which means you can stay at the resort with your whole family comfortably.

5. Maia Luxury Resort

Location: Mahe Island

Located on a private peninsula in Mahe Island, Maia Luxury Resort is strategically positioned for visitors because it is virtually a central point between Seychelles International Airport, Anse Intendance, the Natural History Museum, the Tea Factory, Botanical Gardens, and Victoria Market. The resort sits on a 30-acre piece of land that has a gentle hillside which ends at the Anse Louis beach. It is the perfect location to relax on the beach and watch the sun as it sets.

The Resort

The Maia Luxury Resort has only 30 villas, making it a very exclusive and intimate place to stay. The property includes a stretch of white sand beaches, a hilly landscape, lush greenery, and a vast ocean that all work together to provide visitors with the ultimate nature experience. There is plenty of in-house entertainment and outdoor activities like swimming, surfing, and scuba diving to keep guest occupied..

The Pool Villas

Each of the 30 villas has a large and luxurious bedroom whose doors open to a private terrace containing a private infinity pool and a pavilion. There is an outside bathroom with two bathtubs, both beautifully surrounded by water. Next to the bedroom is a thatched gazebo that contains a private day bed on which you can relax as your private butler (that’s right, your very own butler) serves you dinner in style. Of the 30 villas, 19 of the villas are situated hillside such that they overlook the bay while the other 11 have direct access to the beach. You can book whichever one you suits you best.

Services and Facilities in the Villas

The resort offers all the basic services, including in-house dining, room service, yoga sessions, water sports, and indoor games among other activities. But what really stands out is the fact that you get your own butler who will attend to your dining needs. That is as luxurious and comfortable as it can possibly get!
