Two of the hottest nightspots in the Seychelles, La Faya Bar and the Tequila Boom Discotheque, are at Bel Ombre in the Beau Vallon area on Mahe Island. They are open on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 p.m to 5 a.m. They both have famous local DJs who mix the top tracks from different countries around the world. Tequila Boom hosts theme nights and everyone has a rocking good time.
Katiolo Night Club is the only discotheque that is by the beach. It is past the international airport when travelling from Victoria and on the north side of Mahe Island. It is open Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays and has an open air tropical décor. Travellers consider the Katiolo Night Club a good place to pass a few hours if they are waiting for an early morning flight from the airport. It is a small, but lively place with good music including international top hits, reggae, rock and oldies as well as local music. It is popular for locals as well as tourists and is quite crowded on Wednesdays. There is no entrance fee for ladies on Wednesdays. Guests should dress sharp with no shorts or sneakers.
Barrel Night Club on Revolution Avenue in Victoria is a favourite among the locals. It plays hip hop, rock, reggae and the latest international hits, and is a good place to meet local people.
Club Lovenut and Café is in the centre of Victoria near the taxi station. It is fully air conditioned and has a VIP area. It is considered a top night spot for young people and is definitely up market. It also has DJs who play the latest local and international hits.
Level 3 Bar is in the Docklands Building on Chemin Latanier Road. It offers high quality alcoholic drinks at good prices and plays good music.
Upgrade 9T Club is new and in the same building as the Club Lovenut and Café. Hip hop, reggae, techno, rock and the latest hits are blasting all night.
Konoba Restaurant is a bar and lounge at the Angel Fish Bayside Marina. The restaurant is open every day from breakfast to dinner late at night and is a good place to socialise with the local people and enjoy the special Seychelles experience.
Plantation Club Resort and Casino has won the World Travel Award for the Seychelles’ Leading Hotel in 2006 and the Indian Ocean’s Leading Casino in 2005. It offers a world class night out for visitors seeking a more formal evening.
Nightclubs on Praslin Island
La Reserve Hotel, located off of Anse Volbert Beach, has three bars on the beach that are open to the public as well as several good restaurants. It is a nice place to go for an evening out, but it is not a rocking night club.
The Jungle is considered the best club on Praslin Island and it rocks every Friday and Saturday night from 10 p.m. to four a.m. There is a casino nearby on the Cote d’Or called Casino des Iles.
On the floor over the market near St. Anne pier in Praslin Island is the disco Dome. It has good international music and is frequented by the local people.
Chateau San Souci on Praslin Island is a new hotel with several bars and a disco. The Kokoriko discotheque offers homemade cocktails and dancing all night.
